Farutex, a distributor of foods for the HoReCa sector (Hotel/Restaurant/Café), will lease a 3.500 sqm warehouse and 350 sqm of office space at the facility.
Farutex has signed a five-year lease and is the third customer for the new development, which is now 75% pre-let. The first two customers at the Kraków Airport Logistics Centre are SCOT, a specialist in printing solutions (leasing 27% of the space in the warehouse), and Eurodruk-Kraków, a printing company specialising in the production of books, magazines and advertising materials (leasing a further 23% of the warehouse).
In May 2010, ground works began at Kraków Airport Logistics Centre, with a target lease area of 160.000 sqm. The logistics centre will comprise eight warehouses with additional office space, staff and technical areas. When fully operational, it is expected that up to 1.000 people will be employed by customers across the eight warehouses, making it the largest logistics centre in Małopolska province. The general contractor for the project is Skalski. During the first stage of the project, construction is focused on infrastructure, roads and parking lots, together with the first two warehouse buildings, which have a total area of 34.800 sqm. Kraków Airport Logistics Centre is located near Kraków, four kilometres from Kraków-Balice International Airport. Easy access is also provided by the close proximity to the A4 expressway linking Kraków and Wrocław.
