Saelsey, an e-commerce company, has leased 11,500 sq m in City Logistics Wrocław I. The leasing transaction was mediated by the consulting company AXI IMMO. Hala Selsey will support the sale of the Polish online store with furniture and decorative articles, which supplies its goods to 10 European markets.
The Polish company Selsey, dealing in the Internet sales of furniture and decorative articles, gains an excellent location – in the center of Europe and close to the southern and western borders of Poland. This will support online sales in 10 European markets in which Selsey operates – including Germany, Romania, Belgium and Italy.
“We needed modern warehouse space to upgrade our existing infrastructure and logistics operations,” explains Mirosław Mikołajczak, the CEO of Selsey.pl. “We have been expanding rapidly and so our cooperation with Panattoni is a response not only to our needs but also to our customers’ expectations. We believe that thanks to this we will be able to speed up the processing of our orders significantly and also have space for the development of new product categories, such as garden and smaller products, which we are currently investing in,” he adds.
The company has leased 11,500 sqm in the park in Wrocław, of which 10,971 sqm will be warehouse space and around 500 sqm will be offices. The need for the modern facility arose due to the company’s rapid development – Selsey has been growing by 50% each year. The company is now included in the Financial Times 1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies 2020 ranking, where it is listed in 23rd place among e-commerce companies. It was Panattoni’s online retail experience that clinched the deal for Selsey, which will be operating on space with such environmental features as LED lighting and electric car charging stations. The facility, which was completed in the fourth quarter of this year, was built in line with BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certification.
Park City Logistics Wrocław I is located near the Wrocław Motorway Bypass as well as 2 km from the A4 motorway. This route connects the south-eastern and south-western border with Germany, which is separated by the park about 160 km. Thanks to the distance of only 8 km from the centre of Wrocław, you can reach the City Logistics Wrocław park and by public transport.
The Lower Silesia region is dynamically developing in terms of providing modern warehouse and logistics space. Currently, it is in the fourth place in terms of the size of the warehouse market in Poland.
In the first half of 2020, developers delivered a total of approx. 200,000 sq m. Modern logistics space. The Lower Silesia market is considered a perfect location for distribution centres and production plants serving Western Europe. Certainly, high-class road infrastructure has a great influence on this condition. Two motorways A4 and A8 and expressways S3, S5 and S8 pass here. The proximity to the borders with Germany and the Czech Republic is also important.
